Chat with AI, set up agents and understand credits
Talk to AI that knows your knowledge base, create agents with their own instructions and see what AI credits mean.
Start a chat
- In the left sidebar open Chat.
- Type your question in the message box.
- Press send. The AI answers using your knowledge base where relevant.
The first message creates a conversation. It appears in the sidebar and under Conversations.
Helpful shortcuts in the message box:
- Type
/to focus the AI on specific tags or documents. - Type
@to pick which agent should answer, or to mention a teammate.
Use the settings button next to the message box (Chat Settings) to set Max Output Tokens, which limits how long answers can be.
Conversations
Conversations lists everything your space has discussed. Open one to continue it. On a conversation you can click New Chat to start fresh, Share to copy a public link, or use the options in the sidebar to delete it. Anyone with a share link can read that conversation, so share with care.
Each message has buttons to listen to it, copy it and delete it. On your own messages, the refresh button puts the text back in the message box so you can edit and resend it. That removes the message and everything after it from the conversation.
Usage
Chat, then Usage shows AI usage by month, by AI model and by user. Use the month arrows to move between months.
Agents
An agent is an AI persona with its own instructions that you can pick in a chat.
- In the left sidebar open Agents.
- Click Create Agent.
- Enter a Username (3 to 25 characters, for example "atlas"), a Name, an optional Description and the Instructions that tell the agent how to behave.
- Click create. You can then open the agent to adjust more.
On an agent's page you can change its Description, the Model, Instructions, Activation Prompt and Focus Prompt, set its personality with sliders and attach Playbooks. Click Save Changes.
Agents are for Chat. LinkedIn campaigns use their own campaign playbook, not agents.
The AI assistant
If your space has it, the AI assistant sits in a panel on the right of the screen. It can look at your campaigns, leads, playbooks and knowledge, help build Customer Profiles and run lead searches. Actions that change things ask for your approval first.
AI credits
AI work in your space draws on credits. Credits cover chat, drafting messages, building playbooks, judging leads and assistant sessions. Longer work and larger models use more.
- Your space has a weekly allowance that resets every Monday.
- A space can also hold top-up credits that do not expire.
- The assistant panel shows how many credits your space has left. The number turns amber when it is low and red when it is empty. Hover over it to see the weekly credits left and any top-up credits.
- The balance is for the whole space, not for you alone.
If your space runs out, AI features can stop until the allowance resets or credits are added. Ask a space owner or Atomic BI to change your allowance.
LinkedIn InMail credits, shown in the campaign top bar, are separate. They belong to your LinkedIn account.
